Bespoke Silversmithing Workshop

If you've always wanted to try your hand at jewellery making, now's your chance with this bespoke workshop, where you can decide what to create and how!As always, you can request a different date to those provided. Due to the range of projects, materials cannot be included in the overall price.You are welcome to bring your own materials. Once you have made the booking, we discuss your requirements and decide what is needed for the day - please allow at least 2 weeks. You may have your own materials (jewellery and other items you want to repurpose, for instance) which you are welcome to bring along. I can also supply, at no extra charge, copper and bronze wire for you to use for your project, instead.You'll enjoy an immersive and inspiring day as you learn all the tips and tricks to craft your own handmade jewellery. From pendants and chains to bangles and earrings - you can choose an idea and let your creative side run wild.Please allow 8 hours which includes a dinner break, your workshop may take longer or may be shorter, depending on the activity chosen, we can adjust the length of our dinner break if necessary. Once you've booked your workshop, you'll be encouraged to develop your ideas and plan for your day. You can also bring treasured items like beach findings to work around, be spontaneous and make something unique!Don't worry if it's your first attempt at silversmithing, as your experienced teacher will supply all the materials and equipment, with plenty of one-to-one support throughout due to the intimate group sizes. • Metal Clay - make a pendant or pair of earrings - findings included, *extra purchase may be necessary, depending on materials used and item(s) made
• Spinner ring.
• Three-way Russian-style interlocking ring.
• Torch-fired enamelling - using wet or dry, enamelling techniques for this exciting work.
• Holiday treasures - bring your beach findings and turn them into lasting mementoes.
• Stone setting - make a beautiful pendant, earrings or ring. *Extra purchase required
• Lost wax casting - a shorter class, to allow for casting, materials and finishing to be included in the cost, waiting times may vary as I need to include items in a batch for casting.

Please note:

• Not all workshops will take the full day. The duration of your class will depend on what you wish to make. Most classes will take less than the 8 hours allowed - this is so you can enjoy the day without feeling rushed.
• Copper, bronze and silver are included in the price, with more available to purchase if necessary.
• It's a huge learning curve, so a one-hour lunch break is included in a full-day workshop. There are many food outlets and shops to explore within just a few minutes' walk of the studio.

• Materials (copper, bronze) to make your beautiful handcrafted creation to take home - you may bring your own materials to work with, other materials may need to be bought and paid for in advance - allow 2 weeks to arrange!
