Get creative with your young teen and bond while you learn, making your own jewellery!
Enjoy a hands on Jewellery Making Day, in which you can learn how to make your own jewellery at home - if you would like a basic jewellery making kit to be included in this workshop, please contact tutor, at least two weeks in advance of class.
Or
Learn some Basic Silversmithing skills to make your very own stacking rings, hammer a chunky textured bangle, or work a stamped message or design on it.
If you have other ideas please, reach out and we can explore different projects, in time for me to prepare for your special day.
Please note, a reasonable amount of sterling silver, copper and bronze are included in the cost of the workshop, most projects will be within budget. We can however, discuss materials in advance and you are welcome to order extra if necessary - please allow at least two weeks of you want to do this

Alternatively, you can choose the half-day mini-workshop, using sterling silver to each make 2 x beautiful slim, textured stacking rings.
Both options offer a fabulous adult and teen experience with helpful guidance from your teacher, you'll pick up a host of handmade jewellery techniques and might even discover a shared hobby to continue with your children. It's a great chance to get them away from the screens for a hands-on experience that'll leave you with your own beautiful custom rings.

The cost is per adult and teen unit, included in the ticket price, teenagers - 12 to 16 years.
Home schoolers - I can accommodate small family and friend groups. Just purchase the two adult and young teen group - bring up to 4 young teenagers to the event.
Already got enough rings? Why not be a little more adventurous. Ask about other options - make fabulous earrings with French hooks or a cute pendant on a custom made cord.
Please note:
  • The cost is per Adult & Teen Unit, with one ticket covering an adult and a teen (between ages 12-16).
  • Please allow up to seven hours for this class, including lunch break, although you may finish earlier.
  • The workshop is situated in the busy shopping area of Sherwood on Mansfield Road, close to a park and plenty of food outlets.

Knowledge required
No knowledge is required as this workshop is suitalble for complete beginners, it is useful if you and your teen are used to working with your hands. Adult and teen will support each other, remembering what was learned, meeting and finding solutions to problems together.
What to bring
Good eyesight - this is essential - you need to bring any glasses you normally use so you can easily work close up - reading glasses, prescription of otherwise should be adequate An old cotton apron and any hair ties you may need are also useful to bring along, although these are provided at the studio.
